The Townhouse can be found in Stratford-upon-Avon, in the heart of this medieval town. With a wealth of character and history, Stratford-upon-Avon truly is a wonderful place to visit, and we’re always glad of the opportunity to explore the area. The hotel itself is located inside a 400-year-old, Grade II Listed building, ideally located in the centre of all the action. It provides the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the local area, including the shops and restaurants, as well as the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and shown on our way to our room. During our stay, we resided in one of their Luxury Rooms, which features modern interior design with colourful accents and a wonderfully large bed. The room also offered a coffee machine and leather chairs where you can sit and enjoy a coffee in the mornings. Although not overly spacious, the room was perfectly functional and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was in fact quite spacious, and also featured a roll-top bath tub as well as a good sized walk-in shower, which was extremely welcomed; as well as a single wash basin.

“If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Stratford-upon-Avon, this hotel comes highly recommended as a great choice.”

The Townhouse is owned by the Brakspear group, and you can certainly tell. The décor throughout the hotel is intriguing and offers accents of their signature design, giving a gentle nod to the brand. We have come to love the Brakspear group of hotels over the years, and we’re pleased to say that The Townhouse retains all the things we know and love about the group. You’ll find a good selection of food and drink in the hotel’s restaurant and bar throughout the day and into the evening.

We must mention the staff at this hotel, who throughout the duration of our stay did everything within their power to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. They are a real credit to The Townhouse. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Stratford upon Avon, or if you’re simply looking for a short getaway, this hotel comes highly recommended as a great choice. It is charming and comfortable, and we will certainly look forward to returning in the future.
