Lexus GS 350 F Sport Review

Lexus GS 350 F Sport Review

Our road trip to Salvation Mountain in California was an absolute joy. For this particular trip we experienced the Lexus GS 350 F Sport model, and I have to say this car left a lasting impression on us. From a cosmetic standpoint, this car is a thing of both beauty and elegance. From a performance stand point, this car has more than enough power under the hood and handles itself charmingly.

The Lexus GS Sport sits on 19” alloys, and the body styling is on the subtle side but cleverly designed to be very aerodynamic and purposeful. You would be forgiven to think this is just a luxury saloon, however it’s a lot more than just a luxury saloon. This is because the Lexus GS is an incredibly powerful road car, capable of reaching 60 mph in under 6 seconds, and our excitement was uncontrollable whenever putting our foot down on the accelerator.

Moving in to the inside, the interior oozes elegance wherever you look or touch. It’s the attention to detail and the small things that separates high-end cars from the middle of the pack, and the attention to detail in this model is superb. It’s fitted out with lots of custom designed items like the gear knob, steering wheel and back-lit dials.

“The driving experience of the Lexus GS is simply outstanding.”

I was impressed with the feel of the steering wheel, it’s thick and larger than the usual. You feel like you’re behind the wheel of a racing car when handling this beast. All the levers, buttons and controls are within easy reach whilst driving, so you can focus on driving and flick controls on the steering wheel to control the essentials. It comes equipped with a satellite radio, USB and iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, and a GPS with voice recognition to mention a few of the more impressive in car entertainment features.

It’s not shy on safety features too as you would expect from a model like this. There are 10 airbags, electronic breaking and traction control, reinforced panels, and I have to mention the parking sensors that helped us guide the car safely into many tight parking space. Of all the cars I have driven this is will certainly remain one of the more memorable experiences . We haven’t had this much fun on a road trip for a long time, the driving experience of the Lexus GS is simply outstanding.
