From the moment we arrived at Treehouse Hotel Manchester we felt embraced by a playful energy that instantly stood out from other hotels we have experienced in the city. Situated right in the heart of Manchester, the hotel already feels like an exciting addition to the local hospitality scene, bringing charm, character and warmth in a way that is both refreshing and memorable.

The location could not be more convenient. Being in such a central spot meant we could step out and reach so many of Manchester’s highlights on foot. Whether it was wandering towards the Royal Exchange Theatre, strolling across Deansgate, heading into Spinningfields or dipping into the eclectic bars and shops of the Northern Quarter, everything felt close by. Yet despite the buzz of the surroundings, coming back to the hotel each time felt like stepping into a relaxed hideaway where the pace shifted into something more comforting and personal. That balance of being central yet still feeling like a retreat is one of the qualities that makes Treehouse so appealing.

The design of the hotel is striking and distinctive. It blends modernity with a sense of fun, offering interiors that spark curiosity while still providing a calm and homely feel. The lobby set the tone with warm lighting, natural textures and details that made it feel alive and welcoming. There is a vibrancy to the décor that makes the space memorable but it never feels overwhelming or impersonal. Instead it strikes that rare balance between sophistication and playfulness that makes you want to explore every corner. It is clear that Treehouse have invested thought into creating a space that is both stylish and approachable.

“Treehouse Manchester isn’t just a hotel, it’s a playful retreat in the heart of the city – with stunning suites, thoughtful facilities, and food at Pip that left us genuinely impressed.”

Our stay was made even more special by experiencing one of the Lookout Studio Suites. Located on a high floor, the suite offered sweeping views across Manchester, which looked especially beautiful at night with the city lights stretching in every direction. The suite was spacious yet retained a sense of warmth. The Super King bed was exceptionally comfortable and ensured a restful night, and the sofabed and sitting area created a generous space for relaxing in between outings. The rain shower was invigorating and added a touch of luxury to the everyday routine. What stood out most was how well the layout had been thought through, allowing each part of the suite to feel useful without losing its sense of indulgence.

The design of the suite mirrored the ethos of the hotel with little touches that gave it personality while still keeping comfort at the forefront. It felt curated and individual, making it more than just a room to sleep in. Spending time in the suite was just as enjoyable as heading out to explore Manchester, and at times we were tempted simply to stay in and enjoy the view and the atmosphere. It truly felt like a private retreat above the city.

The facilities within the hotel added even more to the experience. The Playground gym was a standout feature. It was bright, well designed and equipped with everything needed for a proper workout. Being open twenty four hours made it easy to fit in exercise whenever it suited, whether it was an early morning stretch before exploring the city or a late evening session after dinner. The space managed to feel energising without being intimidating, and it contributed to the sense that Treehouse is as much about wellbeing as it is about style.

Alongside the gym we also enjoyed the hotel’s screening room, which created a cosy setting to unwind with a film. These thoughtful facilities showed that Treehouse have considered how to provide more than the basics, offering guests an all round experience that extends beyond the bedroom. It felt like each space had been designed with the guest’s enjoyment in mind, encouraging relaxation and play in equal measure.

Dining at Pip, the hotel’s restaurant and bar, was one of the highlights of our stay. The menu was inventive and beautifully executed, with dishes that were both full of flavour and presented with flair. From breakfast through to dinner, the quality was consistently high. What truly made Pip shine, however, was the service. The team were attentive, friendly and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu, guiding us towards options we might not have chosen ourselves but ended up loving. The atmosphere of the restaurant struck the perfect balance between lively and welcoming, making each meal feel like a special occasion without ever feeling formal. Whether it was a relaxed drink in the bar or a full evening meal, Pip delivered time and again.

Every interaction we had during our stay at Treehouse Manchester reinforced the sense that this hotel is more than just a place to stay. From check in to check out, the staff created an environment that was personable and sincere. Their enthusiasm for the hotel and for ensuring guests had a wonderful time was clear in everything they did.

Treehouse Manchester has already established itself as a fine addition to the city’s hotel landscape. It offers something genuinely different, combining a prime central location with imaginative design, well considered facilities, and exceptional food and service. The Lookout Studio Suite elevated our stay with its spacious comfort and incredible views, while the gym and screening room provided unique ways to spend time within the hotel. Pip tied the whole experience together with food and service that was consistently impressive.

Our time at Treehouse left us with the impression that this is a hotel that understands both the spirit of Manchester and the desires of modern travellers. It captures the vibrancy and creativity of the city while offering guests a home from home where every detail is thoughtfully delivered. If you are visiting Manchester and want more than just a bed for the night, Treehouse Hotel offers a joyful, stylish and memorable experience that we would not hesitate to recommend.
