Malmaison have 13 hotels across the UK, and advertise as being different from other hotels. As I talk you through our stay in the Malmaison, Manchester, you will see that they are indeed different to other hotels in some ways.

We stayed in the "Romeo and Juilet" suite, wonderfully decorated with rich velvety colours; purples, reds and blacks. I can't fault the overall look and presentation of the room, very tastefully done. In the living area of the suite there is a unique feature, a vertical bathtub. It's so deep that you're almost able to stand completely upright as you bath, a nice feature.

"In the living area of the suite there is a unique feature, a vertical bathtub."

The room is sleek in appearance and has an opulent decor. The lounge area is spacious and very comfortable, and there is an array of cushioning throughout. In the bedroom there is a modern four poster bed, the spread and decor in the bedroom has a nice feeling.

The Malmaison Manchester's restaurant is called the Smoak Bar and Grill where you can get a range of dishes with a modern twist. In the basement there is a small spa and fitness room, a perfect respite from the busy hustle of the city. Dim lit with Buddha statues and other zen-like decor, it's easy to clear your mind and have some quality relaxation here.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This hotel is certainly at the higher end of the 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in. Can’t compliment the staff enough. I recommend the Malmaison Manchester as an adventure worth exploring to anyone booking a stay in Manchester.
