You will find Hurley House located in the rural location of Hurley, which is just a ten minute drive from Henley-on-Thames. This picture perfect location makes Hurley House an attractive prospect, and having only just opened in 2016 we were very keen to visit and find out for ourselves what it has to offer. We had heard great things, which made us all the more eager to experience it for ourselves and from the moment we arrived we were not disappointed in the slightest.

Even just parking our car in the car park it felt quite apparent that we were somewhere special. The attention to detail and immaculate surroundings make the exteriors of this property very impressive indeed. From the superbly well-kept gardens to the stunning lighting in the car park, the sense of overall luxury was not lost on us and we were all the more excited to take a step inside.

We received a warm welcome and were made to feel immediately at home upon arrival. It’s clear simply by looking around that no expense has been spared on the creation of Hurley House, and this, together with the warm service certainly set the tone for our stay.

“Hurley House is simply a joy of a hotel.”

Following a swift check-in we were escorted to our HH Superior Room, which comes complete with its own spacious private patio, with a table and chairs. In keeping with the rest of the hotel, the entire room exudes a feeling of quality; with air-conditioning and under-floor heating being just two of the luxuries our room provided. You will also find a large flat screen TV and a beautifully comfortably king sized bed taking centre stage. The room also boasts a small desk and chest of drawers, with a very stylish arm chair completing the living space.

In the bathroom we were delighted to find the most elegant of roll top baths as well as a walk-in drench style shower. There is a separate toilet and a large wash basin complete with complementary Floris toiletries, which happen to be my personal favourite and a joy to experience. Real comfort however certainly comes from the thick fluffy towels and robes which completed our bathroom experience perfectly.

Hurley House is simply a joy of a hotel. Not only are the rooms exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed, but the whole hotel has that distinct feeling of luxury that is not easy to achieve. Perhaps it is found in the staff who are only too helpful, or in the restaurant where each dish is outstanding, or maybe it’s the no-expense-spared interior design and the comfort of the bedrooms; although I have a suspicion it is the combination of all of these things that make Hurley House the special experience it is. We thoroughly recommend you experience it for yourself when you have the chance.
