Located amidst the breathtaking Swiss Alps, the Kempinski Palace Engelberg is a true gem in the world of luxury hotels. With its stunning location and easy access to ski slopes, exceptional spa facilities, diverse dining options, and a rich historical heritage, this hotel provides an unforgettable experience for those seeking both adventure and relaxation in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

The first thing that strikes you about Kempinski Palace Engelberg is its idyllic location. Set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks and surrounded by pristine natural beauty, the hotel is a haven for winter sports enthusiasts. Its proximity to local ski lifts and the convenience of a complimentary shuttle bus make it a perfect base for exploring the nearby mountains. Whether you're an experienced skier or a novice looking to hit the slopes for the first time, the hotel's ski rental shop in the basement ensures that you're fully equipped from head to toe with top-quality gear.

One of the highlights at the Kempinski Palace Engelberg is the luxury spa. Located on the top floor, this 880 sq m sanctuary offers not only a wide range of rejuvenating treatments but also a mesmerising view of the surrounding mountains through its panoramic windows. The large rooftop swimming pool, complete with loungers, provides a tranquil place to unwind. Additionally, the spa boasts an impressive selection of saunas, including a Finnish sauna, Bio sauna, Vitarium, and Steam bath. Each sauna offers a unique experience, allowing guests to relax and detoxify in style. For those looking to keep fit fusing your stay, the sure to checkout their state-of-the-art Palace Gym which has something for everyone.

“The Kempinski Palace Engelberg is a quintessential Swiss Alpine retreat that caters to every aspect of your luxury holiday.”

When it comes to dining and entertainment, the hotel offers a delightful array of options. The Cattani Restaurant tempts your taste buds with a gourmet journey featuring Swiss flavours, while The Palace Bar offers an extensive selection of wines, cocktails, and spirits to savor in a cozy atmosphere. For those seeking something extra special, Chalet Ruinart was our personal favourite—a charming and intimate restaurant where you can indulge in their fondue offering paired with fine wines. And if you're a cigar aficionado, the Habanos Cigar Lounge is the place to be. Finally, the Wintergarden provides a perfect setting for afternoon tea or evening drinks while enjoying the mountain views.

What sets the Kempinski Palace Engelberg apart is not only its contemporary luxury but also its rich history. The hotel dates back to the early 20th century when it was originally built as a summer resort. The hotel seamlessly combines its historical charm with modern amenities, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.

During our stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing their Park Suite. This suite is a true gem within the hotel, offering not one but two balconies with impressive views of the surrounding mountains. They seamlessly blend historic details with modern interior design and functionality, creating a sense of comfort and elegance.

The bathroom is home to a large walk-in drench style shower featuring luxurious amenities complete with wonderfully fluffy towels, a beautiful choice of stone, glass and low-level lighting finishes this bathroom effortlessly. Guests can also enjoy a separate lavatory within the suite.

The separate living and bedroom areas provide ample space and various seating options to relax. Every detail in the Park Suite exudes the highest level of luxury, ensuring that your stay feels like a home away from home. We also made use of the well stocked minibar and espresso machine to wake us in the morning. Be sure to make use of the impressive telescope which takes centre stage of the living room.

The Kempinski Palace Engelberg is a quintessential Swiss Alpine retreat that caters to every aspect of your luxury holiday. Its stunning location, easy access to local ski slopes, luxurious spa, diverse dining options, and rich history all combine to create an unforgettable experience. Whether you're seeking adventure on the slopes or relaxation in a mountain paradise, this hotel is sure to exceed your expectations and leave you with cherished memories of the Swiss Alps.
