Although it’s been recently refurbished, the property has held onto its traditional roots while introducing several new design features that help it stand out from the crowd. The Slaughters Manor is commanding in its presence and you can see it has a polished appearance. As you pull through the gates you feel that you have arrived somewhere special, and as the experience unfolds you know you are somewhere special.
“This charming property excels in luxury.”
We experienced the Valentines Suite during our stay, which as the name suggests offers a romantic getaway. It featured a commanding four-poster bed that you can’t help but be drawn to as the door opens, the soft colours and luxurious furnishings are very welcome. The room holds a wealth of sophistication, with plunging drapes adorning the windows. The twin roll-top baths take centre stage in the large bathroom, and along with the hot tub in the private garden you have enough reasons not to leave the suite during your stay. This suite is more than just a suite, it’s somewhere you want to spend time in.
If you do want to leave your suite, then we highly recommend their afternoon tea served in their library or perhaps a walk over the road to visit their sister property The Slaughters Country Inn which is a very pleasant way to begin your evening before visiting The Slaughters Manor Restaurant.
There is many beautiful Cotswold villages a short distance from the hotel, or you can slowly meander and follow the old cobbled streets down to the old mill, or just soak up some of the beautiful countryside. We had a faultless experience, our room exuded luxury and we left with plenty of fond memories.
