The Brasserie at Pennyhill Park is a casual-style restaurant offering a simple British menu. The food didn’t disappoint and we enjoyed our evening and cannot fault our experience.

To begin we ordered the Potato and Winter Truffle Veloute, with Onion Oil and Celery Cress. The Veloute was superb, the flavours in this dish were on-point and made this an excellent starter to liven up the palate. My partner ordered the Duck Liver Parfait, with Plum Jam, Roasted Pistachio, Brioche and Mushrooms. Another superbly presented dish with well executed flavours, Duck and Plumb is a divine combination and this dish didn’t disappoint.

“The dishes at The Brasserie are well presented and crafted with care and attention.”

For our main course we ordered steaks from their Grill menu. I ordered the 8oz Ribeye Steak, with Triple Cooked Thick Cut Chips, French Beans, Scorched Onion and Grilled Tomato. They offer a choice of sauces and I opted for a Parsley Butter Sauce which worked wonderfully. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection, exactly as I requested. The Grilled Tomato was full of flavour and worked perfectly with the dish. My partner ordered the 6oz Fillet Steak, which was also served with Triple Cooked Thick Cut Chips, French Beans, Scorched Onion and Grilled Tomato, as well as opting for a Peppercorn Sauce to complete the dish. We added sides of Creamy Mashed Potato, Herbed New Potatoes, and Chantenay Carrots to complete our main course.

We were well looked after throughout the evening, the dishes at The Brasserie are well presented and crafted with care and attention. If you’re looking for simple British cuisine that delivers every time you will not be disappointed.
