La Table de Patrick Raingeard can be found at the incredible Cap Estel resort, located just ten minutes from Monaco. With stunning panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea, this is a very special restaurant indeed.

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The menu was simply gorgeous, featuring fresh, seasonal produce and interesting flavour combinations. It was nice to note that many ingredients for this menu came from the hotel’s kitchen garden.

“This is an excellent example of fine Mediterranean dining.”

To start, we both chose the prawns with ricotta ravioli. The presentation was impressive, and the prawns were cooked to perfection. It was a simple, yet a beautiful dish.

For our main courses, we chose the French-cooked beef fillet that was cooked in a vegetable broth, as well as the crispy slices of Querey lamb strips that came served with dried fruits and parsnips. The meat was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. We were very impressed by the flavours, and the dishes simply oozed freshness.

Dessert came in the form of fresh cheese foam, served with vanilla lemon ice cream, which was an interesting combination, but one that was most delicious. We also sampled a selection of sorbets, including apple, mango and passion fruit, which were delicious and very refreshing.

We would certainly recommend La Table de Patrick Raingeard to anyone in the area. Even if you simply stop by for an expertly made gin and tonic in the bar - trust us, the views are worth it. The service and food were equally fantastic. This is an excellent example of fine Mediterranean dining.
