Cattani Restaurant can be found inside the luxurious Kempinski Palace Engelberg, it’s a culinary gem that captivates not only with its delectable cuisine but also with its impressive interiors and breathtaking mountain views. During our recent visit, we were treated to an unforgettable dining experience that showcased their impeccable service, a diverse menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the option to savour your meal on a delightful terrace during the warmer months.

Upon entering Cattani Restaurant, we were immediately struck by its elegant and spacious interior. The design exudes a perfect blend of contemporary sophistication and alpine charm. The use of warm wooden accents, earthy tones, and cozy lighting creates an inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's vast space allows for comfortable seating, ensuring that guests can enjoy their meals without feeling too overcrowded.

What truly sets Cattani Restaurant apart is its stunning mountain views. The expansive windows offer panoramic vistas of the surrounding Swiss Alps, making every meal a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The combination of the tastefully designed interiors and these breathtaking views creates a dining ambiance that is truly unparalleled.

"Cattani promises a memorable gastronomic adventure in the heart of the Swiss Alps."

The faultless service at Cattani Restaurant is another highlight from our dining experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to assist, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.

To kick off our evening, we opted for a couple of perfectly chilled glasses of Ruinart Rosé, setting the tone for an evening of indulgence and culinary delight.

For our starters, I chose the Pumpkin Cream Soup, which arrived in a beautifully presented bowl. The soup was a harmonious blend of flavours, with the sweet and sour Hokkaido adding a delightful contrast to the rich, velvety pumpkin base. The addition of pumpkin seeds provided a delightful crunch, and the presentation itself was a work of art.

My partner decided on the Burrata from Marbach dairy farm, a dish that celebrated the beauty of simplicity. The creamy burrata was accompanied by a variation of yellow and red beetroot, creating a visually stunning and equally delicious combination. The freshness and quality of the ingredients shone through, and it was a wonderful start to our meal.

Moving on to our main courses, I chose the Appenzell Turkey Leg filled with chestnuts, sweet potato, and Brussels sprouts. The dish was a revelation of flavours, with the tender turkey leg perfectly complemented by the earthy sweetness of chestnuts and sweet potato. The Brussels sprouts added a touch of bitterness and textural contrast, making it a well-balanced and satisfying dish.

My partner's choice was the Beef Tenderloin, served with two sides of roasted potatoes with preserved onions and wintery vegetables. The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, while the sides added depth and complexity to the dish. The preserved onions provided a delightful sweetness, and the roasted potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The wintery vegetables showcased seasonal ingredients at their best, rounding out a truly exceptional main course.

To conclude our meal, we opted for a simple yet delightful selection of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla ice cream. The flavours were pure and intense, a refreshing and sweet ending to our culinary journey.

Cattani is a culinary haven located in the very heart of Kempinski Palace Engelberg offering an exquisite dining experience. With its impressive interiors, spacious setting, and breathtaking mountain views, it provides a perfect backdrop for indulging in a diverse and delectable menu. Add to that the faultless service, and you have a dining destination that deserves every accolade. Whether you're visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or enjoying the terrace during the warmer months, Cattani promises a memorable gastronomic adventure in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
