Palazzo Victoria is a beautiful Italian hotel, located in the heart of Verona. The incredible building was once a private villa, and it still retains many of the original features, which is lovely to see.

Although this hotel is traditional in character, the building has be brought bang up to date with a modern refurbishment. Marcello FM Pigozzo, President of the Salviatino Collection, speaks of his youth in Verona, and how he marveled at the building. Pigozzo’s mission was to create a place where guests can feel at home, they moment they enter. He speaks of the sense of joy he experience buying the building, but also the great responsibility he has a proprietor. We believe he has done an outstanding job.

    “Our suite truly was beautiful.”

Being located in the heart of one of the most romantic cities in the world, Palazzo Victoria offers a wonderfully romantic escape. Both luxurious and beautiful, you’re wowed the moment you step into the lobby, which is a magical space. The modern, clean and spacious interior with white sofas scattered around is contrasted by walls covered in graffiti. This hotel is not afraid to be daring, with no two rooms being the same.

Upon arrival, once we’d taken in the beauty of the lobby, we were warmly welcomed and efficiently checked in. We were shown to our suite, which was simply beautiful. Gorgeously restored, our suite boasted an incredibly impressive fresco ceiling - the sort that dreams are made of. The beautiful furniture ensures the traditional Italian style is maintained amid the luxury touches - an espresso machine, a large plasma television and a king sized bed.

The bathroom is also pretty spectacular, with a stunning roll top bath, which was a real highlight for me, taking center stage in the wet room style bathroom.

The only thing that we would place above our suite on our list of highlights would be the staff, who are a real highlight to Palazzo Victoria. They are worth speaking to, as not only are they friendly and helpful, they can also offer a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area, and were only too happy to point us in the right direction for a spot of sightseeing. We thoroughly recommend you make the most of this gorgeous city, and what better way is there to do that, than on the back of local knowledge?

The food offering at Palazzo Victoria is also of a very high quality. Their restaurant - Borsari 36 - is well worth a visit to experience an exceptional Italian meal, designed by Executive Chef Carmine Calo. We had a lovely experience dining there.

Palazzo Victoria offers a gorgeous base from which to explore Verona. It’s a beautifully romantic place to visit, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Since every room is different, we will look forward to returning and having a different experience each time. We would definitely suggest that this hotel is added to your must visit list - it’s certainly back on ours!
