Ristorante Guardalej is one of the restaurants in Hotel Giardino Mountain. There is traditional Alpine decor to compliment the wonderfully presented surroundings. It feels very ‘Swiss’, which is a nice authentic touch. We founds the staff to be very friendly and welcoming, and food that is both delicious and well presented.

The restaurant is a great place to spend the evening nursing a drink and relaxing, or for dining with others and enjoying the laidback ambience. The seating area is on the intimate side, but feels very comfortable.

To begin we ordered the Tuna Tartar in Ginger Lime Court Bouillon, this dish had been carefully presented and looked superb. It tasted great divine, the Ginger and Lime infused perfectly. We also had the Egg Yolk Ravioli on Spinach and Black Truffle, another excellently presented dish.

“The food is both delicious and well presented.”

For our main courses we ordered the Roasted Char Fillet with Parsley Roots. A perfectly cooked fillet, complimented well with the parsley. And, Lamb Rack with Olives, Tomato Crust, Ratatouille and Dauphine Potatoes. The lamb rack was faultless, along with the other flavours on the dish.

We were very impressed with the range of food on the menu, and were happy with our choices. We cannot speak highly enough about the care put into the presentation of the dishes, it really enhances the experience. Along with the faultless blends of flavours, we really have to take a moment to compliment the kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Ristorante Guardalej, and after our main courses we didn’t have room for any desserts on this occasion. Visiting Ristorante Guardalej is an absolute must if you’re staying in Hotel Giardino Mountain. We will certainly be dining here again in the future.
