The Posh Terrace can be found located at the wonderful Palazzo Naiadi hotel in Rome. The location of this bar and restaurant is simply superb, being located right in the heart of this wonderful city. The setting is stunning, with the tables lined up alongside the hotel’s rooftop pool. There’s even a fantastic view of the opera house, which makes for a wonderful backdrop for any occasion, but is particularly breath-taking as the sun goes down.

We visited The Posh Terrace during a recent stay at Palazzo Naiadi, however this restaurant and bar truly is a destination in its own right. We decided to take our time there and enjoy a selection of their fabulous cocktails.

For my first cocktail, I simply had to go for their Negroni, which saw bitter Campari mixed with red vermouth and gin. The bar staff managed to perfectly craft this classic drink that certainly hit the spot for me. My partner went for their Fransisca cocktail, which saw Patron silver tequila, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, fresh black pepper and salt. This fruity and punchy cocktail was most refreshing and certainly a great start to the evening.

“We felt instantly relaxed and at ease, and we certainly wouldn’t hesitate to return; even just to work our way through the rest of the cocktail menu.”

For my next choice, I went for another take on the classic Negroni - their Americano Negroni - which saw bitter Campari this time mixed with red vermouth and soda water. Although it was a joy to sip, as suspected, nothing beats the classic Negroni for me. My partner decided to go for the Italian classic, Aperol Spritz, which saw Aperol topped with sparkling wine and soda water. This made for another perfectly executed cocktail which didn’t fail to bring a smile to my partner’s face.

The staff at The Posh Terrace are a true credit to Palazzo Naiadi. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and there was a genuine friendliness to their service that we simply couldn’t get enough of.

All in all we had a fabulous start to our evening, and would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a great cocktail in a stunning setting. We felt instantly relaxed and at ease, and we certainly wouldn’t hesitate to return, even just to work our way through the rest of the cocktail menu.
