Masseria Torre Maizza is a gorgeous hotel located in Puglia, Italy. Puglia is such a beautiful location that it is best enjoyed in the great outdoors. One of the main things that attracted us to stay at Masseria Torre Maizza was their abundance of outdoor activity choice. As well as an impressive golf course set in a thousand-year-old olive grove with wonderful views over the coast; the hotel also offers guests the opportunity to engage in many more outdoorsy activities such a cycling, sailing, and running.

“A great stay for those looking for luxury in an ideal Italian setting.”

All of these activities really help you to make the most of the wonderful scenery – from the beach, to the caves, and from the wineries to the fishing villages. There truly is so much to see in Puglia, and we were excited to be able to do it through the eyes of a Masseria Torre Maizza guest.

When we arrived we were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in. Immediately upon entering the venue, we were taken aback by the spacious interiors, which were white, clean and fresh. Aside from the authentic colour palette, we were pleased to note the traditional Italian decor. Much to our please, this interior theme carried through the hotel and into our Junior Suite.

Our suite was beautiful, and boasted the most gorgeous log fire; which would be ideal in the colder months. Although the room itself was cosy, it was perfectly adequate. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning was ideally powerful. It was also a pleasure to make the most of the Jacuzzi bath in the bathroom, as well as sitting out in the suite’s private rear garden.

As well as the golf course, the hotel also boasts lovely spa facilities, which are also worth a visit. Why not book in for a treatment, or take a dip in their outdoor pool during your stay?

Also, if you’re in the market for a good lunch, we thoroughly enjoyed dining at the Caccaro Beach Club, where we sampled the special of the day – the fricelli pasts with red prawns, finished with crispy carrot. It was a very pleasurable experience relaxing on their large sofas and chairs. The pasta was gorgeous.

All in all, we had an excellent stay at Masseria Torre Maizza, and would return tomorrow. We can thoroughly recommend it as a great stay for those looking for luxury in an ideal Italian setting. We can’t wait to return.
