L’Hotel du Collectionneur is a stunning Art Deco style hotel located in the heart of Paris. The classic and impressive Art Deco theme spreads throughout the hotel and in to the renowned Le Safran restaurant.

Le Safran provides guests with a spectacular glimpse into the world of Art Deco, complete with vibrant colours, classic Art Deco patterns and low-level lighting. The restaurant also includes three terraces and a beautiful garden area from which guests can sample the restaurants well-known French cuisine.

“Both our starter and main course were very enjoyable.”

We were excited to visit Le Safran and the restaurant didn't disappoint. Immediately greeted and seated by a friendly waiter, we took the opportunity to sit outside and began our meal with a glass of Taittinger champagne.

Both my guest and I chose to try the same starter, sucrine lettuce dressed in a lemon and olive oil sauce and served with a balsamic dressing. Simple but extremely delicious, the lettuce was sweet and full of flavour, while the lemon and balsamic vinegar complimented the sweet flavour well.

For our main course we chose the roast lamb served with vegetable gratin as well as a garlic cream and thyme sauce. The lamb was beautifully cooked, and well accompanied by the delicious gratin. We were equally pleased with the garlic cream and thyme sauce, which were both strong but not at all overpowering. Both our starter and main course were enjoyable and seemed a clear representation of the delicious food that guests can expect at Le Safran restaurant.
