The Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs is nestled nicely in Palm Canyon Drive and covers a large enough area to feel secluded. There are a collection of restaurants and shops just a few minutes walk away, but if you’re looking for a relaxing break you will find all you need within their complex.

We experienced a Casita room, which featured an outdoor bathtub and a small garden area with cushioned day beds. Making for an absolutely divine way to spend the days sipping drinks and enjoying the wonderful Palm Springs weather.

The décor of our room was bright with a Moroccan influence. There were lots of light colours giving the room a calming feel. None of the dark colours you would expect in an art-deco modern design, which were a welcome touch.

“Overall we had a splendid experience.”

Hotel amenities include a spa, gym, free Wi-Fi throughout, the Purple Palm Restaurant and an impressive courtyard with a large hot tub and swimming pool. The pool area seemed to be where most of the action was while we were there, and with good reason. There were always large gathering of people relaxing and taking a dip.

The staff are helpful and friendly. There are some nice touches, such as coffee and newspaper delivery in the mornings, and you can have your breakfast set up on your patio.

Overall we had a splendid experience. We were very well looked after, the food was delicious, and we left feeling recharged and with some great memories. This should be a consideration if you’re visiting Palm Springs.
