The Churchill is a welcoming and interesting restaurant located on 3rd Street in downtown Los Angeles. It has a Gastropub vibe, the rustic wood furnishings and chalk boards are very reminiscent of London pubs. It has a great deck terrace which is the ideal place to enjoy an evening dining. The pizza is a must have, even the gluten-free option is deliciously indulgent. If you're looking for a place to enjoy good cocktails and Gastropub cuisine, The Churchill will not disappoint.

For our pre-dinner cocktails we ordered 'The Naked Lunch', which was mixed with Gabriel Boudier Saffron Gin, Cucumber, Basil and a squeeze of Lemon. A nice drink with a refreshing kick. We also ordered the 'Churchill Manhattan', comprising of High West Double Rye, Amaro Cio Ciaro, Sweet Vermouth, Orange, and Angostura Bitters. This is one we would happily order again.

"Great food, a nice selection of wine, and a fun atmosphere."

For our main courses we ordered a Wood-fired Margherita, with Marinated Tomatoes, Mozzarella and Basil. This was simply superb, we enjoyed every mouthful. We have sampled Margherita's far and wide, but it's obvious when you find one that is something special, and this certainly was. We also sampled The Churchill Burger. Their burgers are also superb, premium beef layered with Hook's Cheddar, Grilled Onions and Bacon, served with a side of French Fries.

We enjoyed a bottle of Undercard Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Hills, USA. A wine with pleasant Blackberry aromas, Plum, and Pepper and spice notes. We had a wonderful evening, if you're looking for casual evening with great food, a nice selection of wine, and a fun atmosphere, The Churchill will deliver on all promises.
