STK can be found inside the W Los Angeles. Almost every table has been carefully laid out and has its own booth style design. Making for an intimate dining experience, allowing you to enjoy your company without the noise from neighbouring tables.

As the evening progressed, the lights dimmed and the atmosphere held an air of excitement. STK are renowned for their steaks, sampling something from their steak menu is a must.

We started the evening with a couple of cocktails. The 'Black Rye Affair' mixed with Templeton Rye, Lemon Juice, Blackberries and Mint which was incredibly refreshing. And, a 'Cucumber Stiletto' mixed with of course Cucumber, Ketel One Citroen, St.Germain and Mint. Another delicious cocktail, I'd be more than happy to sample this again. We ordered a bottle of Malbec, Terrazas De Los Andes Altos Del Plata, Argentina. A smooth red with a subtle spicy aroma.

    "STK failed to disappoint."

To begin we ordered the Tuna Tartar, with Avocado, Soy Honey Emulsion and Taro Chips. It was a delicious and light starter, the honey was strong but blended well with the other ingredients. We also ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Salad, served with Grapefruit, Melon and Hearts of Palm. Delicious, and worked well with our Malbec.

Next we ordered the 10 oz Filet with Au Poivre sauce. A delicious cut with some light seasoning. We also ordered the 16 oz New York Strip with Blue Butter sauce. Another tender and flavoursome steak, we had no trouble finishing these dishes. We added sides of Creamed Spinach, Mac and Cheese, and Sweet Corn Pudding.

Moving on to dessert we enjoyed a Flourless Chocolate Torte, served with Bitter Orange Ice Cream, Chocolate Ganache, and Orange Tuile. The torte was rich and very enjoyable, and the ice cream was delightfully soft. We also decided on the Key Lime Semifreddo, with Murray Farms Blueberry Compote, Cardamom Streusel - Meringue. I cannot speak highly enough about the meringue, very light, fluffy and indeed splendid.

We had a terrific evening at STK, from the warm welcoming, attentive staff, delicious food, to the close of the night, we had a wonderful evening and would of course look to return in the future.
