The Hospital Club restaurant is located inside the renowned Hospital Club in Covent Garden. It’s certainly an intimate space, with an interesting menu which we were excited to explore. During our visit the restaurant was full, the atmosphere was fun and we had a super experience.
We started the evening with a two fine glasses of Laurent-Perrier, Brut Rose, NV. A crisp, pink champagne providing the perfect start to our evening.
To begin we ordered the Roast Artichoke Soup, with Candied Chestnuts which certainly didn't disappoint. We also sampled the Beetroot Cured Salmon, with Pickled Mooli, Shiso and Salmon Caviar Dressing. Equally as enjoyable, and a wonderful blend of flavours.
“We enjoyed every dish.”
For our main courses, we ordered the 45 day aged Dedham Vale Sirloin with Roast Cherry Tomatoes. A simple dish but enjoyable. We also ordered the Gilt-Head Bream, with Pink Fir Potatoes, Capers and Watercress Salad. The Gilt-Head Bream is the strongest tasting Bream and delicious when well prepared, this dish was prepared perfectly and full of flavour. We added sides of Sweet Potatoes, as well as Sprouts with Toasted Almonds.
We also enjoyed a bottle of St Emilion, Chateau La Croix, Bordeaux, France throughout the evening. This wine had a strong fruity nose, full of ripe Plum aromas. We had a splendid evening from start to finish and enjoyed every dish.
