Quattro Passi brings you Italian fine dining in the heart of London's Mayfair. The restaurant has been beautifully designed and well thought out, and manages to somehow deliver an authentic sense of Italian charm, while still reminding you that you're in Mayfair.

The head Chef Antonio Mellino has two Michelin stars to his name, and brings his unique and authentic Italian fine dining experience from Italy to London. His menu is crafted around using seasonally inspired ingredients that can be obtained and shipped daily from his native home of Italy.

His two sons also work in the restaurant, and the warm family-run atmosphere is a most welcoming experience. Our evening was a pleasure, we were pleased to experience a little bit of the Amalfi Coast in the heart of Mayfair.

We started with a glass of Pierre Mignon Brut Prestige ‘Quattro Passi’ Special as an aperitif before ordering our first course. We chose a bottle of 2011 "Peppoli" Chianti Classico, DOCG, Antinori. A lovely, velvety, ruby wine with notes of vanilla and chocolate.

"We had an enjoyable evening of many palatable delights."

We shared a pre-starter of Skewer of Scallops, with Prawns and Spring Onions on a "Romaneschi" Broccoli Cous Cous and Blackberries Reduction. This dish was to set the tone for an evening of wonderfully fresh Italian ingredients, with strong flavours.

For our first course we ordered the Spaghetti with Crab and Fresh Cherry Tomatoes. It's hard to resist trying spaghetti at such a prestigious Italian establishment, and it was superb. Our other dish was the Linguine Pasta with Zucchini and Parmesan Cheese Sauce. Another enjoyable dish, we sent the plates back clean and with a smile on our faces.

Our main courses were the Amalfi Lemons and Basil Infused Monkfish with Purple Potatoes Vellute', Sauteed Pakchoi, Caramelised Pears and Pecan Nuts. The dish was immaculately presented, with perfect synergy of flavours, very enjoyable. My partner had the Rack of Lamb on Hazelnut, Cocoa and Dehydrated Raspberries Crumble. The blend of nuts, fruit and cocoa formed a delectable sauce for lamb. We also ordered sides of Roasted Potatoes and Fried Zucchini to round off the dishes.

We didn't have much room for dessert, but couldn't resist sharing a Sorrento's Lemon Paradise Cake with Raspberry Sorbet. We had an enjoyable evening of many palatable delights. Quattro Passi gets a firm recommendation, we certainly look forward to returning.
