Having previously visited One Aldwych and having a wonderful experienced, I have to say that this trip surpassed our first encounter. The hotel is located just off The Strand in London, it’s a few steps from the Thames, and it’s on the border of Covent Garden. The location of One Aldwych is perfect for visiting the theatre, in the city for business, or just want a great location with plenty to do and see within a short distance.

We experienced a studio suite which was perfectly located in one of the hotels curved turrets. This impressive circular room layout is a welcome change to what we’ve come to expect from the usual hotel rooms and suites, our suite also offered stunning views directly over Waterloo Bridge.

The bedroom and living areas were combined, but the circular design meant there was enough space for it not to feel imposing. We had a lovely comfortable sofa to relax on in the living area, and a desk to ensure we got some work done. The bathroom had both a bath, and a separate shower.

“Inside One Aldwych you find yourself in a calm and relaxing 5-star haven.”

We had breakfast in our room, the presentation and quality of the service was nothing short of 5-star and we have to recommend ordering breakfast to your room. There is something for everyone and the hotel offers a vast array of gluten-free options, the white chocolate and raspberry muffin was a delight.

The amenities in One Aldwych were excellent. There is a bar that provides a relaxing place to enjoy a drink in the evening, their restaurant Indigo has a superb menu and must be explored especially those who are gluten intolerant as the entire menu is gluten free, the spa offers a fitness center, sauna along with an indoor swimming pool with underwater music along with a host of spa treatments for those looking to be pampered, all your exercise and pampering needs are well taken care of here.

While the city outside is moving at a fast pace, inside One Aldwych you find yourself in a calm and relaxing 5-star haven. Our suite was more than enjoyable and we were not left wanting anything. The service is flawless, and we would have loved to stay a little longer. We shall certainly return, and One Aldwych should always be a consideration if you’re looking to stay around The Strand.
