Part of the Principal Hayley Group, the Hotel Russell is situated in Russell Square, London, which is the prime location for easy access to London’s travel network and attractions. The opulent and grand Victorian terracotta hotel was originally built at the end of the 19th Century. The entrance and reception area of the hotel were truly stunning, featuring a palatial marble staircase, pillars and walls. The entrance to the hotel really set the tone of this grand building.

As we entered we were met by very friendly staff and escorted to our room, which was very spacious and contained everything we could ask for to ensure a comfortable stay. Off of our bedroom, we were also pleased to have a round windowed area, which offered a light and airy space.

“The staff at the Hotel Russell were very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer our questions.”

The rooms are complete with all modern amenities. Despite the elegant and opulent design, each room is still filled with the latest technology, including a plasma TV, broadband and films on demand.

The hotel also provides guests with a couple of dining options. The hotel’s Tempus bar was particularly popular. Designed in a simple yet elegant style, the bar has a very relaxing atmosphere and was the perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink. The hotel also has a wonderful restaurant, which serves seasonal and local dishes.

The Hotel Russell maintains its opulent and elegant theme throughout. Never straying from the high standards set at the entrance of the hotel, the interior is stylish, creating the feeling of luxury throughout. Teamed with beautiful views over the city, the hotel really does provide all the decadence promised from the exterior.

The staff at the Hotel Russell were very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer our questions. They were also very knowledgeable about the local area and could provide detailed information to guests about the local attractions and landmarks. This is truly the high quality service that many hotels are less able to provide. We would definitely choose to stay at Hotel Russell again.
