Gaucho Sloane as the name suggests can be found just a short walk from Sloane Square in Chelsea. In keeping with the lavish interiors that are synonymous with the Gaucho brand, upon arrival we were re-acquainted once more with the usual cowhide and swanky ambiance.

We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Being very familiar with the Gaucho menu, we were certainly pleased that everything felt reassuringly similar to our previous experiences. In particular, we love that they are still bringing the meat choices out on a wooden board for selection. We’ve always enjoyed the process of learning about the different cuts of meat and how each one is prepared.

With our menu choices set, our evening began with our first course choice of salmon tiraditos served with mango, passion fruit, pomegranate and ají Amarillo for myself; which was a very fresh and exceptionally tasty; whilst my partner enjoyed the chicory salad with coriander mayonnaise, apple, pomegranate and pecans which was equally as enjoyable.

For our main courses, I thoroughly enjoyed the 300g fillet that I chose to be served with blue cheese sauce. The cut of meat was simply perfect – tender and melt-in-the-mouth with a wonderful flavour. My partner chose the 400g rump with a peppercorn sauce, which was again perfectly prepared and well presented.

“If you’re looking for fantastic service and excellent cuisine, you need look no further.”

To accompany our meal as a side dish, we chose the spinach with lemon and garlic, which was just beautiful, I love spinach but the lemon and garlic really created a beautiful flavour which worked wonderfully with our meat choice. We also enjoyed the thin chips served with chimichurri vinegar, as well as the mashed potatoes. As always at Gaucho, with the attention being in the detail, even the most simple of side dishes are so wonderfully executed.

For dessert, I opted for the argentine rice pudding served with cinnamon and raisins and my partner went for the Mango Mess with whipped cream and passion fruit. Both were beautifully presented and simply delicious.

Throughout the meal, I enjoyed Gaucho’s Dragon Well Green Tea, whilst my partner chose the Jasmine Silver Needle Tea. It’s worth noting however that Gaucho also has an impressive wine list and cocktail menu, should that be your tipple of choice.

The service throughout the evening was faultless – prompt and effortless. Gaucho Sloane comes highly recommended by us. If you’re looking for fantastic service and excellent cuisine, you need look no further.
