During a recent trip to Liverpool, we decided to stay at the Pullman Liverpool Hotel, ideally located just a few steps from the iconic Albert Dock. Its position alone makes it a fantastic choice for a Liverpool city break, with many of the city’s top attractions, museums, restaurants, and waterfront walks right on the doorstep. The hotel itself is modern, clean, bright, and quietly stylish, offering a comfortable base for both business travellers and leisure guests exploring everything Liverpool has to offer.

On arrival, we were greeted warmly by a friendly member of staff and checked in with ease. We were soon directed to our Deluxe Room, which reflected the broader ambience of the hotel: contemporary, simple, functional, and thoughtfully designed. The room included a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, a Nespresso machine, a Bose docking station, a mini fridge, and a well-appointed bathroom with a powerful shower. What really elevated the space, though, were the river views, which quickly became our favourite feature. Enjoying a quiet morning coffee while looking out towards the Liverpool Ferris Wheel and Albert Dock was the perfect start to the day and a reminder of just how well located the Pullman is.

Liverpool is one of our favourite UK cities, and staying at the Pullman only reinforced why. From the hotel, it’s incredibly easy to explore the vibrant Liverpool ONE shopping district, wander along the waterfront, or dive into the city’s impressive restaurant and bar scene. Simply strolling the streets is a joy, with Liverpool’s rich architectural mix of historic buildings, modern developments, and cultural landmarks around every corner.

"We enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the Ferris Wheel of Liverpool and Albert Dock in the distance."

The Pullman Liverpool also offers a range of facilities that enhance the experience further. Guests wanting to keep up with their fitness routine can make use of the well-equipped fitness centre, and although we didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant on this occasion, it provides convenient all-day options for those who prefer to eat on-site. The hotel bar also offers a relaxed spot for a drink, whether you’re winding down after a day of sightseeing or simply enjoying the riverside setting.

The hotel is also a strong choice for business travellers, offering modern conference and meeting facilities. Its proximity to the M&S Bank Arena makes it ideal for those attending concerts, exhibitions, or corporate events. And for anyone visiting Liverpool to experience its legendary music heritage, including the famous Cavern Club the location again proves convenient.

Overall, we were impressed with our stay at the Pullman Liverpool Hotel. While it may not be positioned as a luxury property, it delivers exactly what most guests want: friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great views, and a superb location. It offers excellent value for those seeking a reliable, modern hotel in Liverpool, close to the waterfront and the city’s major attractions. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Liverpool, and we look forward to returning on our next visit.
