We had seen much on our Las Vegas trip and it was becoming harder and harder to be impressed with anything. That said, the Tao nightclub inside the Venetian Hotel was one thing that did have us saying “wow” more than once.

We were invited to Kim Kardashians New Year’s Eve party at the Tao nightclub, and it was a blast. It was full of people, had a great atmosphere and great music. An excellent way to see in the new year!

The lounge area when you first walk in to this beautiful locale is great. It's a perfect spot to soak in the lovely sights and enjoy some drinks. The decor is magnificent, but it all looks a little used. I bet all the Buddha statues along the walls could tell a few tales. The décor is great, but is needs tidying up. It’s a high traffic place and looks to be wearing quickly.

As far as the music, it was the standard mix of hip hop and dance music. The sound system is very impressive, as bass and treble shook the floor all night. The DJs knew their stuff too, throwing out the classics and the new tracks to keep everyone moving around.

Vegas nightlife on the Strip best suits the wealthy and connected, but we didn’t feel left out at all. The people were nice and quite sociable, even though there were plenty of drunk people around.

Kim Kardashian herself mingled, but mainly hung out in the VIP section. She was wearing a lovely sparkly white dress and looked as good in the flesh as she does on TV. I’m no celebrity whore, but it was nice to meet someone off the telly!

This was the most crowded club that I've ever been to, regardless of the time of year. We were packed in, yet somehow it was still workable. It didn’t detract from our time there, but I could see how it would annoy you if you were a big dancer.

Our New Year arrived with a bang, in a great club, with a great hostess in a great city. I would definitely go there again.
