Located inside the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, this is an upscale steakhouse which is a must visit. Complete with luxurious seating providing a comfortable dining experience, the arm chairs were sumptuous and certainly made for a more enjoyable experience. The décor is impressive throughout, and the food is delicious. Gordon Ramsay has yet to disappoint us.

We started the evening with a couple of pre-dinner cocktails. I ordered the ‘English Garden’ a sweet, gin based cocktail mixed with Hendricks Gin, Basil infused Rock Candy, Lemon Basil, Cucumber and Celery Bitters, this was a delight to sip and i had to stop myself from ordering a second. My partner ordered a cocktail aptly named ‘English Side Car’. This was made with Hennessy VSOP, Orange Curacao, Apricot Jam, Bitters and Lemon. A great start to the evening, and we were very much looking forward to our food.

To begin we ordered the shared Shellfish Platter. The platter looked and tasted absolutely divine and included Tiger Prawns, King Crab, Oysters, Clams, Lobster, and was served with a Citrus Soy Sauce. The Tiger Prawns were my personal favourite, but every item was superb.

“The food is delicious. Gordon Ramsay has yet to disappoint us.”

Moving on I ordered the 8oz Filet served with Béarnaise Sauce. Gordon Ramsay is well-known for his steaks, but unless you’ve experienced one it’s hard to explain just how flavoursome they are. My Partner ordered an 18oz Bone-in New York Strip, served with Peppercorn Sauce. The beef here is hand selected and dry aged for a minimum of 28 days, this is what makes their steaks superbly tender and flavoursome. We added side dishes of Sautéed Spinach with Parmesan Cream, Ginger Glazed Shiitakes with Scallions and Crispy Garlic, and finally the Potato Puree prepared with Yukon Gold Potato and Crème Fraiche. The side of Yukon Gold Potato was absolutely irresistible and I could have eaten this all night.

We couldn’t resist sampling a couple of desserts from such a tempting menu. We ordered a Passion Fruit Panna Cotta, served with Passion Fruit Gelee, Lemon Poppy Streusel, Yoghurt Mousse and Fresh Fruit. Simply superb. We also ordered Cheesecake, severed with Strawberry and Rhubarb Coulis, Rhubarb Infusion, Fresh Berries, Strawberry Sabayon, and Crystallised Mint. The amount of thought and detail that went into every dish was more than impressive, and the flavours were spot on.

We enjoyed a bottle of Castello di Bossi, 2010 throughout the evening. We had a superb evening from the moment we entered the restaurant to our last bite. Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants have built their reputation on delivering excellent food and service.
