The West Park Restaurant is located inside the West Park Hotel in Harrogate. The restaurant offers a casual bistro-style dining experience and has some great booth tables which we were able to experience during our visit. This provided an intimate dining experience, but would also be perfect for a larger group. We thoroughly recommend ordering the chateaubriand as this provides a great sharing experience.

To begin, we shared their Seafood Platter, which included baked queenie scallops, haddock goujons, mini prawn cocktails, smoked salmon, completed with fresh lemon, bread and butter. This was an enjoyable way to start the evening, the platter was well-presented, each item was super tasty, and we enjoyed every mouthful.

“The West Park Restaurant provides a faultless dining experience.“

For our main course we ordered the chateaubriand for two. The chateaubriand was absolutely superb, it was a thick and juicy cut and full of flavour. This was served with roasted plum tomatoes, proper chips, rocket and parmesan salad, and a delicious garlic butter. The roasted plum tomatoes were wonderfully seasoned and tasted divine, and the quality and preparation of the chateaubriand was faultless. We added sides of creamed spinach, braised peas and pancetta, and skinny fries, all of which were delicious.

Unfortunately, on this occasion we overindulged in their tempting menu and had to pass on dessert. We did however enjoy a bottle of 2013, Cabernet Sauvignon, Domaine de Saissac, France. A deep, dark red, with a lovely blend of plum, red berries, cherries, and a sweet vanilla tone. Perfect with meat dishes.

The West Park Restaurant provides a faultless dining experience. A must visit if you’re a guest at the hotel, there is a wide range of tempting dishes and we have to say we left very satisfied.
