Hampton Manor can be found located in Hampton-In-Arden, which is just outside of Birmingham. The building was rebuilt in the 19th century by Sir Frederick Peel, the son of Sir Robert Peel, in a Tudor Gothic style. Hampton Manor was a care home in its more recent previous life and has since been lovingly restored by husband and wife team, James and Fjona, back to its former glory.

The hotel itself is beautifully located in the midst of 45 acres of wooded landscape. With great links to Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle, Hampton Manor provides the perfect base from which to explore some of England’s finest.

When we arrived we were greeted as old friends and swiftly checked in before being escorted to our suite. During this stay we experienced the George Fentham Suite, which similarly to the rest of the hotel, holds a wealth of character and charm and offers a wonderful marriage of old and new, finished to a very high standard throughout.

“We highly recommend Hampton Manor as a wonderful place to indulge in some time away.”

We also loved the coffee available in the room; you will find no sachets here. Fresh coffee beans allow you to brew a fresh coffee within your room, which was most welcomed by us. And you can enjoy your coffee whilst taking in the stunning views over the grounds, which are most beautiful and easily on display through the large windows within the room.

If you can drag yourself away from the suite, the grounds are well worth exploring, especially if walking is your thing. Inside the hotel, being a foodie is easy, as dining forms a large part of this hotel’s focus, and no expense has been spared in creating a memorable culinary experience which takes place in Peel’s Restaurant. You’ll also find a small cocktail bar, and the Parlour which is where you can enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif along with canapés.

The staff at Hampton Manor are very friendly and really do go out of their way to make you feel at home and relaxed. They’re always at hand with a recommendation, be it a menu choice or things to see in the local area. We highly recommend Hampton Manor as a wonderful place to indulge in some time away from it all.
