    Flybe, Birmingham to Amsterdam Review

    Flybe, Birmingham to Amsterdam Review

We recently took a return flight to Amsterdam from Birmingham with Flybe. The flight was short, being only around 45 minutes, and in reality, we probably wished the flight could have a lasted just a little bit longer!

Having flown with Flybe before, we were looking forward to a comfortable flight. Although the planes are a lot smaller than those that we’re more used to, what we particularly enjoy about a Flybe flight is the fact that the rows of seats are set in twos, making it a more comfortable and private journey if you happen to be travelling with a plus one.

The other thing about using a smaller airline such as Flybe and travelling to smaller airports such as Birmingham is the distinct lack of people and over-crowding. With larger carriers, you tend to find yourself stuck in the panic of those rushing to board the aircraft as soon as possible, however with a smaller carrier it’s much more relaxed.

“The cabin crew are a real credit to Flybe.”

One thing that surprised us about Flybe is the amount of flights they have available across Europe. This pleases us, and they are now our go-to airline for short flights. The intimate experience, although daunting for nervous fliers, actually mitigates a lot of the travelling stressors for us, and along with the professionalism from the staff, we always find a trip with Flybe to be pleasurable.

The cabin crew are a real credit to Flybe, they are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They were great in making other passengers feel at ease and being friendly throughout the flight. They give the impression that they’re very happy to be working for the airline, and it’s an attitude that we find to be most refreshing for the travel industry.

Fortunately, this trip lived up to all of our expectations and we were landing in Amsterdam before we knew it. Being a relatively small airport, Birmingham was also a breeze to navigate and we strolled through arrivals in no time. I think, however, the real reason we felt so relaxed at our destination airport was probably down to having such a short and pain-free flight; much of which was credit to Flybe.

We will certainly be looking to book more flights with Flybe in the future, we would certainly recommend Flybe as an airline.
