We recently had the pleasure of returning to Villa Dubrovnik, which can be found set against the Dalmation Coast in Croatia. Villa Dubrovnik is a special hotel that offers a luxury experience with fantastic hospitality. The hotel itself has been beautifully created in keeping with its surroundings, offering a wonderful white facade with clean lines and modern edges. The hotel itself is somewhat secluded on the edge of the cliff, set down off the main road, offering privacy and an exclusive feel. Located within walking distance of the city’s Old Town, and just a short walk to Sveti Jakob Beach, Villa Dubrovnik really does offer a great base from which to explore some of the most beautiful areas Croatia has to offer.

When we arrived we were given a warm welcome and were shown to our Executive Room, of which was to be home for the next few days. The room itself offered beautiful views of the coast from its private balcony complete with a jacuzzi, which truly was the main focal point due to the panoramic glass wall separating the room from the balcony. The bedroom offered a comfortable king size bed, as well as a beautiful en-suite bathroom that also boasted panoramic glass overlooking the sea. The bathroom provided his and hers wash basins, as well as a combined bath and drench style shower.

Outside of the room, the facilities of this hotel were extremely well received. The spa and gym offered the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The pool was a good size, and opened onto a terrace where there were a series of very comfortable loungers. The gym boasts state-of-the-art equipment and was of a good size.

“Waking up to the views of the Dalmation Coast each day was a very special experience indeed, and one which I hope to experience more of in the not too distant future.”

The Library Lounge is also a good place in which to relax with bar and dining options. Other dining options include the stylish Wine and Prosciutto bar, however, our favourite restaurant had to be Pjerin, which offers beautiful dishes that truly made the most of the wonderful local ingredients on offer.

The facilities are excellent at Villa Dubrovnik, but we would highly recommend getting out and about during your stay and exploring the local sights. The team at Villa Dubrovnik are always on hand to arrange and recommend excursions, which is a must during your stay. From private walking tours during the day or even at night, to gourmet trips to local vineyards, or even sea cruises and watersports; we’re certain there’s something for everyone, and we can’t stress enough just how beautiful the surrounding areas are.

If you’re looking for a special experience in Croatia then we would highly recommend a stay at Villa Dubrovnik as a great option for excellent hospitality. Everything from the service to the facilities and certainly the location ticked all our boxes, and we are certain you won’t be disappointed. Waking up to the views of the Dalmation Coast each day was a very special experience indeed, and one which I hope to experience more of in the not too distant future - this still remains to be one of my favourite hotels.
