Located in the South of France, Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel is just a short drive from Cannes. The hotel is set within its own private beach area, with balconies and terraces tumbling down to secluded sands.

As you enter the hotel, guests are invited for a welcome drink in the lounge. This is a very nice personable touch as it gives you a chance to get to know some of the hotel staff and to discuss what you want from your experience.

After the welcome drink we were escorted to our suite. The suite was absolutely breathtaking, it was named 'Royal Suite' which was appropriate considering its regal furnishings and decor. As the double doors closed behind us we stood and admired this incredible suite, the opulence and grandeur of the suite is something to behold. Unfortunately it's a rare feeling to be this excited when entering a suite, it was a pleasure to experience and I'm sure it will impress even the most discerning of travellers.

The suite is an incredible 700 square meters in size, and includes a lounge area with enough seats to host a large family and friends. There is a separate dining room with a grand dining table and chairs, a large office any business traveller would be proud, a large bedroom with a super king sized bed, and a spacious and beautifully presented bathroom. The walk-in wardrobe was big enough to house any amount of luggage, and the bathroom had a huge bathtub, with a separate walk-in drench style shower, his and hers basins, and my personal favourite was heated toilet seat and various digital controls, something I have not experienced since Tokyo.

"The opulence and grandeur of the suite is something to behold."

There is also an outside private terrace area, complete with a large table and chairs, built-in sofas, and surrounded with a beautiful arrangement of candles. Returning to the inside we discovered another office, but it's obvious this is no ordinary office. It has an impressive glass desk and stunning view overlooking the ocean through the floor to ceiling glass windows. I attempted to get some work done here, but it was difficult with such views to distract me.

The lounge was a joy to spend time in, it has panoramic views over the grounds, swimming pool and ocean. The plasma screen is incredibly large, it's almost bigger than the double doors leading into the suite, and certainly the largest I have ever come across. There is a Harman/Kardon sound system and Apple TV, all ready to sync your own device and start playing your music. A little Bowie made for a pleasant early evening drink as we watched the sunset over the ocean, simply magical.

The bedroom also had an impressive plasma screen and Apple TV, some extra comforts that were very welcome. Should you manage to pull yourself away from your suite, you will find a range of outstanding facilities. The hotel has a large state-of-the-art fitness room and an impressive range of treatments were available in the spa. I decided to have a 45 minute bespoke massage, it was most enjoyable and left me feeling reborn and ready to face the day with a spring in my step.

The hotel has a stunning outdoor heated swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and VIP cabanas overlooking the ocean. For dining and relaxing with a drink in the evenings, Bistrot M must be visited. You experience an overwhelming sense of high-end luxury throughout the hotel, no corners have been cut and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

I cannot believe any guests leave here disappointed, and cannot find a negative word to share about the resort. I have to reinforce just how friendly the staff are, they are a true credit to the hotel and make guests feel at home. I would absolutely stay at the Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel again, we had a wonderfully memorable experience.
