The Majestic Barriere in Cannes is a hotel encompassing luxury, elegance, style and warm charm. This is no ordinary hotel by any means, it's a palace that has been lovingly renovated.

Overlooking the mythical Croisette among other wonderful sights, home to its own private beach, and has a shopping area packed with French Designer boutiques. The stage is set for a memorable stay.

We were impressed from the offset as we entered their private driveway. We were greeted by a small army of doormen, all eager to assist us with our luggage and valet park our car. It's the kind of personal treatment you expect from such a high-end establishment, and we enjoyed every minute of it. There are several quirky and unique pieces of modern art littered throughout the hotels gardens and lobby, giving guests something to explore.

We experienced a Junior Suite during our stay, which was a little on the smaller side of what we have come to expect from a junior suite, However, the suite made up for that in other ways. It had a huge terrace with a spectacular sea view, complete with a couple of sun loungers, a table and chairs. We really made the most of the terrace, enjoying it from morning to sunset, it really is a great feature of the suite. You also have really good views over hotel grounds, allowing you to see just how impressive the whole building is.

“We had a delightful stay, and would happily stay here again.”

Our Junior Suite had one bathroom with a separate shower and bath, and one open plan bedroom with a king size bed, two chairs and a small table. Although being on the smaller side, it was well designed and made the most of the space. There was also a desk and plenty of hanging space to keep your belongings. We had a very comfortable stay and didn't want for anything.

The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool, a Clarins Spa with a vast array of treatments, a good sized gym, and plenty of rooms and areas to explore when walking around the grounds. The charm of this hotel lies in the history it's been host to. There has been an abundance of talent staying here over the years due to the Cannes Film Festival being held nearby. The corridors in the hotel are testament to this, with powerful black and white photography portraying some of the famous guests that have stayed here over the years.

We had a delightful stay, and would happily stay here again. The Majestic Barriere is a wonderful hotel with bundles of charm.
