The Park Restaurant can be found inside Lucknam Park Hotel. The restaurant is an elegant dining room complete with an army of staff and the menu is fine example of fine dining. We certainly had a wonderful evening of fine food and faultless service.

We started the evening with two glasses of Henriot Brut Souverain Champagne, served in the charming drawing room before being walked through to the restaurant. This champagne has floral and citrus notes and is wonderfully refreshing on the palate.

To begin we ordered the Confit of Citrus Cured Loch Duart Salmon with Heritage Beetroot, Garden Herbs and Yoghurt Dressing. The flavours in this dish come together perfectly, it’s an interesting and well-designed dish that we would happily order again. We also ordered the Roast Scottish Diver Scallops with Carrot Purée, Spiced Pork Croquette, with Raisin and Caper Vinaigrette. The Scallops were delicious and tender, this was another enjoyable dish.

"The menu is fine example of fine dining.”

For our main course, we ordered the Braised Fillet of Turbot with Buttered Iceberg and Cornish Crab, Hand-rolled Macaroni and Wiltshire Truffle Butter. The Turbot was superb and full of flavour. My partner ordered the Loin of Bwlch Farm Venison with Fondant Winter Vegetables, Chocolate Jelly, Bannerdown Squash and Cumin. Another superb choice, we were impressed with the preparation and execution of the flavours in both dishes.

To finish our evening we ordered desserts. I ordered the Vanilla Crème Brulée with Bitter Chocolate Sorbet and Raspberry Doughnuts. A dessert to satisfy those with a sweet tooth, and I enjoyed every bite. My partner ordered the Honey Roast Williams Pear with Warm Walnut Financier and Sauternes Ice Cream. An excellent dessert, and a wonderful end to an evening of enjoyable dishes.

Our chosen wine for the evening was a bottle of 2014 Tenuta Ghiaccioforte, Morellino di Scansano, DOCG, Tuscany, Italy. A delightful Italian red, with a full-bodied flavour and packed with dark fruits and spicy aromas.

Guests are invited to return to the drawing room following their meal to enjoy coffee, which in our opinion is a wonderful way to end the evening, we had a wonderful evening and can’t wait to return to sample more dishes from their menu.
