    Sloepdelen Boat Rental Review

    Sloepdelen Boat Rental Review

Amsterdam is one of those wonderful cities where its canals can be utilised as if they were roads. If you find yourself in Amsterdam we thoroughly recommend that you take the opportunity to explore the city by boat. There are many companies who offer boat hire, however during our trip; we decided to use Sloepdelen, who come highly recommended by us.

Sloepdelen allow you to take one of their boats and become your own captain, giving you the privacy to have a truly intimate and personal day on the canals. The boats are well designed and look impressive, and are perfectly fit for the purpose of exploring the city on the water.

Each boat seats up to 12 people, with cushions provided for extra comfort. An afternoon on the water offers the perfect opportunity to take a picnic and some drinks with you and indulge in an on-water lunch experience as you take in the sunshine and the wonderful views.

“Indulge in an on-water lunch experience like no other, as you take in the sunshine and the wonderful views.”

Sloepdelen offer a wonderfully friendly service. When we arrived we were presented with a map and the rules were explained to us ahead of us setting off on our journey. The boat we experienced was extremely easy to operate, and you can easily moor up should you wish to hop off and grab a drink, or pop into a local shop.

We found this to be a lovely activity to partake in on our trip, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam. It really helps to give you a proper sense of the city away from the streams of tourists on the street, and allows you to discover new areas and wildlife and things you wouldn’t necessarily have seen had you simply been walking through the city. The canals themselves are also particularly beautiful, with their picturesque bridges and a wealth of greenery and flowers to view.

We will certainly be looking to hire a boat from Sloepdelen again next time we are in the city and very much look forward to doing so.
