When it comes to Sunday brunch, Hotel Bel-Air offers an outstanding menu. Set within the Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, the restaurant is located within the beautiful gardens the hotel proudly displays.
With both indoor and outdoor options available, and live jazz music throughout the day, this is a special experience. The brunch is based on a three course dining experience, with a glass of champagne on arrival. The menu has many great options, and the quality of the food is simply divine.
The tranquil setting gives the impression of a farmer friendly establishment. So it was no surprise to learn that Hotel Bel Air works closely with local farmers, fisheries and ranchers to bring the freshest ingredients straight to the kitchen.
“We cannot fault Sunday Brunch at Hotel Bel-Air.”
To begin, we ordered two of their handcrafted Bel-Air Bloody Mary cocktails to get the palate stimulated for the culinary treats to come, a hint of sweet, a touch of spice and a pinch of love.
To begin we both ordered the HBA Original Nancy Reagan “Chopped” Salad which included Grilled Chicken, Smoked Turkey Bacon, Aged Cheddar, Avocado, and a Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the meat was very tender.
Moving on, I decided on the Alaskan Halibut, which was prepared with English Peas, Asparagus, Preserved Lemon, and a Green Garlic Emulsion. Again, the freshness of each ingredient was outstanding.
My partner ordered the Prime New York Sirloin. A delicious cut of meat, seared to retain the flavour. Served in a Red Wine Reduction, with Frites and Sauce Béarnaise. this dish failed to disappoint.
We were impressed with each and every course. Using local, fresh produce makes for a flavoursome experience and certainly gives the food an added quality. Couple this with the idyllic setting, and the staff who looked after us very well, we cannot fault Sunday Brunch at Hotel Bel-Air.
