The Seven Sins of Rupert Shreeve

    Rupert Shreeve

Wrath - What makes you angry about the hospitality industry?
    Rupert Shreeve Seven Sins
Anything lazy or unoriginal. If the sole purpose of hospitality is to create unique and memorable experiences it blows my mind that anyone in it would ever become complacent. Too often the more expensive and elite a place is, the more disingenuous and stand-offish the staff become, then you just end up with a room full of people resenting the tenner they just spent on an olive.

Greed - If all your travel fantasies came true where would we find you?
    Rupert Shreeve Seven Sins
On an island in the Oslo fjords fishing for mackerel. I go there every year with my two best mates and I love it. The simple goal is to catch enough food and never let the fire die.

Sloth - What do you do to unwind?
    Rupert Shreeve Seven Sins
I play the drums. It must be the most cathartic thing you can do. I find it all consuming, my mind is completely clear and my body is completely occupied.

Pride - What are you most proud of?
    Rupert Shreeve Seven Sins
My daughter. I’ve spent my life designing things but nothing any human can ever consciously construct comes anywhere close to pro-creation, it’s completely incredible.

Lust - Is there anything that you are still lusting to achieve?
    Rupert Shreeve Seven Sins
I’d like to play the pyramid stage at Glastonbury one year, and play it well, not a nervy big stage gig but a proper sweaty in the moment ‘California Jam’ style gig in front of a hundred thousand people. I can only imagine what that must feel like.

Envy - who are you most envious of?
    Rupert Shreeve Seven Sins
Either Batman from an accessories point of view or sir Michael Jagger for all the things we don’t know about the lucky bugger.

Gluttony - have you ever over indulged?
    Rupert Shreeve Seven Sins
Every single time I’m out with either Bennett or Winch, or worse still both of them.
