    Luigi Tramontano
    Michelin-starred Chef Luigi Tramontano has been Executive Chef at Terrazza Bosquet restaurant at Sorrento’s prestigious Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria on the Amalfi Coast since 2013.

    Luigi Tramontano is originally from Campania in Italy. Developing his passion for local traditional Italian cooking with new ideas originating from different gastronomic experiences, he has collaborated with some of the most esteemed Italian hotels and restaurants, such as Hotel de Russie in Rome and Grand Hotel Quisisana in Capri.

    His experience at Don Alfonso 1890, the two Michelin-starred restaurant in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, helped him broaden his horizons in a quest for the diffusion of Mediterranean cuisine in the world.

    Japan and Central America have been among the destinations that had strongly influenced him. From 2010 until 2012, Luigi Tramontano ran the restaurant Il Flauto di Pan (Pan’s flute) at Villa Cimbrone, Ravello, where he was awarded one Michelin Star.

    Hospitality colleges do not prepare young people for the important structures in the hospitality industry that require high professionalism.

    Pride - What are you most proud of?

    I am proud to have achieved such important goals, such as gaining a Michelin star, and to have a wonderful family.
     
    Lust - Is there anything that you are still lusting to achieve?

    There are so many things I have not yet reached. I think it is great to always have new targets.
     
    Envy - who are you most envious of?

    Envy is not a feeling that belongs to me.
     
    Gluttony - have you ever over indulged?

    I love to eat pizza, pasta, meats and other traditional products from my beautiful land.
