The four star Macdonald Rusacks Hotel, St Andrews is located only a short walk from the heart of St Andrews itself and is literally a stones through from the 18th hole of the famous Old Course gold course.

Macdonald Rusacks is a hotel that immediately wows every guest without fail. The traditional hotel has been stylishly remodelled while preserving the character that makes this hotel stand out from the others.

The hotel is also located close to the beach and to many other golf courses, leaving golf enthusiasts spoilt for choice. The hotel itself is located adjacent to the most famous golf course in the world and golfing guests can choose packages to make sure they make the most of this historic course while staying at the hotel. The hotel also provides guests with a selection of dining options including the Rocca bar and grill, which is an Italian grill restaurant that uses local Scottish ingredients.

“Every member of staff at Macdonal Rusacks was kind and friendly. They were always wearing a smile and ready to help.”

We stayed in the Tom Morris suite during our stay, which included a separate lounge and bedroom area. With three large windows in the lounge area, we enjoyed unrestricted views over the ocean. The décor was in-keeping with the hotel theme, effortlessly merging the strong heritage of the hotel with the modern influences that give the hotel it’s four stars.

The bedroom contained a large king size bed and a few added extras that made our stay even more enjoyable, including Highland Aromatic toiletries . The suite also contained a flat-screen television and provides WiFi for those who needed to stay connected.

Every member of staff at Macdonal Rusacks was kind and friendly. They were always wearing a smile and ready to help. These little touches make all the difference.
