Cecconis is a stylish Italian restaurant with a super dining atmosphere, our experience at Cecconis was wonderful. The service was attentive, the menu was interesting, the dishes were a delight, they have a varied Italian-Australian wine list, and we would recommend this restaurant for a great evening out.
While browsing the menu we ordered a couple of glasses of Billecart-Salmon to start the evening, a great way to wake up the palate. To begin I ordered the Goats Cheese Tortellini, with Chicken, Peas and Broad Beans. A simple dish, but very well executed, the goat’s cheese tortellini was superb. We also ordered Linguine, which was served with Shrimp, Lobster, Garlic, Chilli, Herbs, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Another delicious dish full of so many wonderful flavours
“We wouldn’t hesitate to return to Cecconis to sample more from their menu.”
For our main course we ordered the Black Angus Eye Fillet, with Parsley Puree, Confit Garlic Mash and Braised Beef Cheek. The Fillet was cooked to perfection and was finished nicely with the Parsley Puree, I can’t find a bad word to say about this dish. My partner ordered the Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder with Rocket Pesto, Crushed Kipfler, Capers, and Parsley Salad. Another superb dish, the Lamb was perfectly tender and flavoursome. We added sides of Sautéed Baby Spinach and Hand Cut Chips.
We completed our dining experience with a bottle of Ormanni Chianti Classico, Tuscany. A gorgeous Italian wine with black fruit, spice, and a bold cherry acidity. This wine works well with meat dishes. After two wonderful courses we were full and couldn’t manage a dessert, which was a shame as they have some very appealing items on their dessert menu. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to Cecconis to sample more from their menu.
