United Club Lounge Terminal 2, London Heathrow Review

United Club Lounge Terminal 2, London Heathrow Review

If you are flying, nothing beats having the use of an airport lounge to make your wait more relaxing. The United Lounge in London Heathrow, Terminal 2, is brand new. So it has a relaxing, contemporary feel and the amenities are fantastic.

Naturally there is high-speed WiFi available, allowing you to keep up-to-date with important business, or just surf the internet to pass the time. There is also a vast array of complimentary snacks and drinks which are most enjoyable. The food quality is high, especially when you remind yourself you’re in an airport, you can eat a full meal in the lounge too if time allows. Each dish is delicious, and was clearly labelled so those with allergies can make informed selections.

“The lounge is a touch of luxury in-between fights.”

The lounge overlooks the runway, plane spotting is optional but it’s quite fascinating seeing some of the planes being prepped or boarded. There is also a full-service bar which wouldn't feel out of place in an upscale restaurant. The bartenders even offer a little mixology if a pre-flight cocktail takes your fancy. Between the relaxing furniture and decor, WiFi, food, and drinks, there is more than enough to make your stay a relaxing and memorable one.

Spending time in airports isn’t high on anyone’s list of things to do. But the United Lounge in Heathrows Terminal 2 makes the best of what is often some necessary downtime. It’s more than just a lounge, it’s an enjoyable place to spend time. So whether you need to catch up on some work somewhere quiet, or want somewhere to sit and eat in peace, or just want to avoid the masses, this is the place to be.

We were well looked after and enjoyed some wonderful food and drinks. The lounge is a touch of luxury in-between fights. We recommend visiting the lounge next time you’re flying with United, we know we certainly will be.
