Kaslik, located in the heart of Soho, is a gorgeous restaurant named after a Lebanon town. The restaurant itself is both intimate and casual, and boasts a wonderful authentic Lebanese style. The tables are low, and huge cushions are provided for your comfort. It provides a really relaxed dining experience, complimented by traditional music and great food.
We started with the vegetarian mezze for two, which consisted of hummus, moutabal, falafel, tabbouleh, fatayer, batata harra, vine leaves, grilled halloumi and pitta bread. We also sampled the yellow lentil soup, served with toasted pitta bread and lemon. The mezze was an outstanding combination of beautiful dishes, and the soup was both fresh and delicious. We were suitably impressed by the variety of the small plates, and were delighted that we were able to try so many different dishes.
“The variety on the menu is inspiring.”
After enjoying so many dishes for our starters, we decided to opt for a lighter dish for our main courses, and shared the king prawns marinated in coriander and garlic. The prawns were cooked to perfection and the flavour was outstanding. We were very impressed with the quality of the food as Kaslik, and felt our meal offered outstanding value for money.
We also decided to try a bottle of Kefraya, which is a red Lebanese wine. It was beautiful, and complimented our meal perfectly. I would definitely order it again.
We were very impressed by Kaslik as a restaurant. Not having the most experience of Lebanese food, probably due to the lack of authentic restaurants, we were more than pleasantly surprised. The restaurant provides the perfect meal for any vegetarian, and the variety on the menu is inspiring. We would definitely recommend Kaslik, and are looking forward to returning ourselves. It really is a great find.
