True Grace are an English company that specialise in home fragrance. True Grace curate hearty fragrances that are wonderful on the nose, and easy on the eye, due to their perfectly presented, elegant packaging. Here is a rundown of some of our favourite fragrances from their collections:
The Cabinet of Curiosities scent can be found in True Grace’s Manor Collection. This scent almost takes you back in time; it’s reminiscent of a vintage medicine cabinet. It’s fascinating, the power of smell and the way it can take you to another place, this one instantly instilled childhood memories of hidden treasures and ancestry. The reed diffuser of this fragrance comes, somewhat aptly, in a smoked apothecary bottle.
Portobello Oud can also be found in the Manor Collection. This scent was created as to memorialise the brands roots and pay homage to when their story started, a candle stall on Portobello Road. The scent captures the eclectic ambiance of the market, with exotic spices and a worldly sophistication. This scent has an air of expense, and oozes luxury. It is the perfect addition to a room to unwind in.
From the Village Collection, Cranborne Rose is next on our favourites list. This scent is heavenly, and would be the perfect addition to any country cottage boudoir. Delicate and sweet, its floral notes will ease your mind into a great British slumber, as you dream of running through the fields on a warm summers day.
“These fragrances are the first on our gift list, if we’re actually able to part with them.”
English Meadow is next up, and is part of the Village Collection. This scent spells freedom, Imagine running through a green meadow on a warm summer day, with your hair blowing in the wind as you twirl amongst the wild flowers. This scent takes you there, and then some. It's fresh and crisp and fitted in perfectly next to our roll top bath.
Green Tea and Citrus is also part of the Village Collection. It provides a trip to a tropical tea plantation, without leaving the comfort of your armchair. The zesty aroma of lime and bergamot awaken your senses, whilst the subtle undertones of green tea keep you grounded. This was a personal favourite as it made the room so very fresh.
Next in the Village Collection is Seashore, with remnants of a bracing walk across the cliff tops, this breathed fresh life into the room, you could almost hear the waves crashing against the rocks below, and feel the sand blowing between your toes. One of the things we noticed about the True Grace range is that the names of the fragrances alone begin to take you on a journey to the scent, so your nose is already prepared for the fragrance it's about to experience.
Back to the Manor Collection, we have Sacristy, a wealth of mystery is hidden in this deep, rich fragrance. It's like a journey into a forgotten library where the smell of bound leather and antique wood panelling overcomes your senses. An abundance of ecclesiastical feeling emerges from this beautifully packaged apothecary bottle.
Hyacinth can be found in the Village Collection. This delicate, unmistakably floral fragrance is traditional in its presence. All pleasing and all-consuming, this feels homely and welcoming, and beautiful in its simplicity.
True Grace really strive to make fragrance an all-encompassing experience, and they certainly succeed. These fragrances are the first on our gift list, if we’re actually able to part with them. We strongly recommend that you give them a try.
