We have recently fallen in love with the Royal Albert range of fine bone china teaware. Royal Albert have been manufacturing fine teaware since 1904, with their roots being in ranges of commemorative pieces that were created for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897. Founder Thomas Wild was presented a Royal Warrant for the Diamond Jubilee, which enabled him to adopt the name ‘Royal Albert’, and thus, the brand name was born.
The wide range of bone china pieces in the collection are easily recognisable by their wonderful floral patterns, which pays homage to the beauty of the English countryside, and offers and elegant addition to any tea occasion.
We have recently been using the 100 Years of Royal Albert 1940 English Chintz 3-piece Set as well as the 1940 English Chintz Tea Set. These pieces have been created to celebrate Royal Albert’s 100th anniversary for 2017, which marks the commemoration of the company’s longstanding commitment to fine teawear. The pieces in this range are adorned with beautiful designs from some of the most iconic styles and designs from the brand.
“Our tea breaks really aren’t quite the same.”
In the 1940 English Chintz 3-piece set, you will find a Dessert Plate, a Teacup and a Tea Saucer, which are decorated in a gorgeous tapestry of roses, forget-me-nots and violets, on the most delicate of fine bone china. The 1940 English Chintz Tea Set consists of a Teapot, Sugar Bowl and Cream jug which are decorated in the same pattern and again, made out of the most wonderfully elegant fine bone china. Together, they make the ideal tea serving set for any occasion.
We have received many compliments on these pieces, which are a welcomed addition to our office, our tea breaks really aren’t quite the same. We can thoroughly recommend these pieces as not only a beautiful, stylish talking point, but also as a joy to experience.
