The Venetian in Las Vegas is perhaps one of the most famous hotels in the world, and is certainly one of the most recognisable on the famous Vegas Strip. Having been to Vegas numerous times and never having stayed here before, we thought we would delve in and discover what’s beyond the grand façade of this hotel.

Incase you hadn't guessed, The Venetian is inspired by the Italian city of Venice, there is incredible amounts of attention to detail. You would be forgiven for forgetting you are in Vegas while riding one of the gondola’s through the Grand Canal. Instead, believing you’re sailing down the narrow canals of Venice.

We experienced a Luxury Suite overlooking several of the ten swimming pools on offer within the hotel grounds. Our suite was spacious and opulent, with grand furnishings and Italian décor. We had a huge 650ft of space at our disposal, so needless to say there was plenty of luggage space. The Venetian is an all-suite hotel, so fear not when making a booking you will not be disappointed.

“Overall it’s a delightful and unique experience.”

Our bathroom was spacious and included a wonderful Roman bathtub and separate shower. The lounge area included a sofa, arm chairs, a large dining table and two plasma screens. So while there is more than enough to explore outside of your suite, if you want to stay in you will be spoilt with comfort. The bedroom had the most comfortable bed with a host of plump pillows and cushions, we slept very well indeed.

The Venetian is home to the Grand Canal Shoppes. Where you will find over 160 stores, enough to keep even the most enthusiastic shoppers happy for hours. As well as a huge amount of restaurants and bars. One of which we decided to visit was db Brasserie, by Daniel Boulud. If you’ve never experienced the Grand Canal Shoppes it’s an absolute must. There is nothing you cannot find here, along with endless items you wouldn’t even have thought of. I can say with confidence you will not come away empty handed.

The hotel is in a great location and everything is easily accessible by foot. You cannot visit without taking a ride on a Gondola through the canals of the Venetian while being serenaded by your very own personal opera singer. You will certainly not be short of things to do while staying at the Venetian, and overall it’s a delightful and unique experience.
