“Every dish was sampled was impressive and delicious, perfectly in-keeping with the casual but traditional style of the restaurant.”
We began our meal by ordering a bottle of Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, Vintage 2010. For our main we sampled a number of the restaurant’s popular dishes including a traditional margherita pizza, topped with buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes. Reflecting its Italian heritage, the margherita pizza reflects the quality of the ingredients.
We also sampled fried artichoke with lemon and thyme, warm beets with burrata and pistachios and Sorrento style scialatielli, a type of pasta with lobster and shrimp. A fresh dish, the scialatelli was well cooked and included seasonal ingredients. Every dish was sampled was impressive and delicious, perfectly in-keeping with the casual but traditional style of the restaurant.
For dessert we ordered the budino. A traditional Italian rich and creamy dish, the salted caramel budino was served with pretzel toffee and is reminiscent of a custard or pudding.
