Bound by Salvatore can be found inside The Cromwell. Its a sophisticated bar on the edge of the hotels casino. Our evening took us on a journey of intruiging, delicious, and adventurous cocktails.
To begin I ordered the 'Cromwell Fizz', made with Macallan 10 Year Old Fine Oak Whisky, Fresh Lemon Juice, Orange Bitters, Egg White, Honey Syrup and Mot and Chandon Imprial Champagne. The blend of bitters and egg white gave this drink the perfect smooth delivery.
My partner ordered the 'La Belle Vie', translated, this means the good life. It's prepared with Martell XO Cognac, Fresh White Grape Juice and a touch of Lavender Honey from Provence, topped with Mot and Chandon Imprial Champagne. If this is the good life, I'd happily enjoy more of it.
Next up I decided on 'The Cromwellian', Cocchi Americano-flavoured espresso, with Makers Mark Bourbon, Cherry Heering brandy and sugar syrup. A sweet taste sensation, very palatable and left me wanting more.
We couldnt miss the 'Tennessee Squirrel', a magical concoction, with a fruit-filled refreshing interpretation of the traditional Sour. Using Jack Daniels Old No. 7 Whiskey, Disaronno and Fresh Passion Fruit and Lemon Juices, plenty of fruit punch and very smooth.
This is a must visit when in Sin City.
Moving on to the 'Fish House Punch', according to the bar staff, this recipe was created in 1732 at Philadelphias Fishing club, the Schuylkill Fishing Company. It's mixed with Appleton Rum, Hennessy V.S.O.P, Cognac and Grand Marnier Peach Liqueur, accompanied by Fresh Lemon Juice, Sugar and softened with Black Tea. A delicious punch, incredibly refreshing.
Finally I decided on the 'KinGston Crusta', this cocktail is distinguished by being served in a glass that has been crusted with Sugar and a band of Orange or Lemon zest. I chose to go with lemon for the bitter taste, it also included Atlantico Private Cask Rum and Maraschino Liqueur with Fresh Citrus and a touch of Ginger. A drink I will not forget in a hurry, the citrus and ginger was a superb combination.
We had a wonderful night sampling cocktails. The staff at Bound take mixology very serious, this is a must visit when in Sin City.
