    The Big Feastival - 2017

    11 September, 2017

This year we chose to visit The Big Feastival, making this years' visit our third to this fun-filled, three-day festival. The Big Feastival is hosted at Alex James' farm in Kingham, which is a small village found in the Cotswolds, approximately four miles from Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.

The Big Feastival offers an impressive line-up of artists and this year's headliners included the likes of Madness, Olly Murs and a dj set by Faithless. As well as the music, as the name of the festival suggests, there is also an abundance of food available at this festival. You'll find an impressive selection of street food, from wraps and pizza's to vegetarian, vegan and Asian inspired dishes. There truly is something for everyone.

The Big Feastival is rather eclectic and offers a mini Glastonbury-esque vibe. A helta skelta dominated the sky line this year, along with a two story cheese hub, which was home to the Groucho private members VIP area.

There were DJ sets happening throughout the three days, including one from Alex James himself, as well as the likes of William Orbit, Jo Whiley and Jamie Oliver. Alex James' talents do not stop there however, as a visit to the cheese counter allowed festival-goers the chance to purchase the cheese produced by Alex James himself.

"It promises to be one of the highlights of the year, and it certainly delivers."

There's also an array of live cooking demonstrations each year by a host of celebrity chefs. This year the festival welcomed Jamie Oliver, Rick & Jack Stein, Candice Brown, Jasmine Hemsley and Antonio Carluccio to the table, to name just a few. This festival is also not shy on drinking options; from craft beer to vast selections of gins, prosecco, cocktails and wine, there really is something for everyone looking for a tipple of two.

As The Big Feastival is held over a three day period, there are various options available for those looking to camp, or stay in their caravan or motor home. There are also glamping options available for those looking to upgrade their experience and truly indulge in the three days of fun.

The Big Feastival is a wonderful, family friendly festival that delivers a fun-packed weekend full of great food and drink. We were delighted to be a part of it this year, and simply cannot wait to return. It promises to be one of the highlights of the year, and it certainly delivers. The Big Feastival comes highly recommended by us.
