    Rembrandt

    18 December, 2017

The Rembrandt brand is renowned for producing some of the finest artist materials. Their paint products really are some of the best available in today’s market. Those in the know identify the Rembrandt brand with paints offering the highest degree of lightfastness, very pure and intense colours, perfectly thinnable paints, the maximum degree of transparency along with the finest pigments.

We’ve recently been fortunate enough to discover the Rembrant Master Watercolour Box, which contains 42 Rembrandt half pans and an assortment of watercolour painting accessories. These accessories include Talens liquid mask film, Talens watercolour matte varnish, four brushes including a Series 110 no. 4 and 12 made from pure red sable hair, as well as Series 132 no. 6 and series 136 no. 4 made from petit gris pur squirrel, a porcelain mixing tray, three 2B sketch pencils, a kneadable eraser, a brush mat, a sponge which is complete with a metal water bottle.

We were astonished by the quality of the Rembrandt paints, which have such an amazing consistency, the colours truly do seem to pop out of the canvas. This is clearly due to the high quality pigment and quantity of pigment that Rembrandt use in each colour, which is readily evident in every paint stroke.

"It contained exactly what we needed in order to create some wonderful pieces of art that honestly wouldn’t have been achievable without the quality of the Rembrandt paints.”

We found that the Rembrandt Master Watercolour Box really was the ideal set for any painter, and certainly an accomplished one. It contained exactly what we needed in order to create some wonderful pieces of art that honestly wouldn’t have been achievable without the quality of the Rembrandt paints.

The convenience of having the set stored in the most gorgeous wooden box also really added to the experience, as it was so easily transportable. The Master Watercolour Box makes location painting very easy indeed, as well as a stylish and organised affair. We were very impressed, though not at all surprised by the quality feel of this set, which made our painting escapades even more enjoyable.

We believe this to be the ideal set for anyone looking to invest in their artwork, and would highly recommend it as a wonderful gift, or a great addition to your artist collection should you be looking to treat yourself. Rembrandt has always been, and will always be, a name that artists worldwide are able to trust and we were extremely pleased to discover for ourselves just how wonderful their art offering truly is. We are certainly not looking back.
