Located in Beverly Hills, we were keen to experience Fleming's Steak and Wine Bar after hearing about their impressive wine collection. They have an award-winning collection of 100 wines by the glass, giving wine lovers an exceptional selection to choose from. The staff are happy to talk about the wines, and it's a real treat for anyone interested in fine wine.

They have a small terrace for anyone looking to dine outside. But we decided to dine inside next to their huge two storey wine display. The decor had a simple American feel, and I can't help but think the large sports screen are a little out of place. It's a dining experience that appeals to the more casual diners, the food didn't disappoint, and the wine selection is a welcomed addition.

We decided to start off with a cocktail. I ordered the Paloma, Maestro Dobel Tequila. A nice shot of alcohol infused with a fresh grapefruit and smoky herbal mix. While my partner had the Clover Club, made with Beefeater Gin, Juniper, Lemon and other floral notes. Lovely, refreshing drinks to wake up the palate before choosing a bottle of wine. We were spoilt for choice when it came to the wine selection, settling on a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, Raymond North Coast, 2012. A beautifully elegant wine loaded with cherry, blackberry and raspberry notes.

"Fleming's lived up to its reputation."

To start we ordered the Chilled Seafood Tower to share. Comprising of Market Lobster, Shrimp, and Crab, served with a selection of traditional accompaniments. The seafood was fresh and delicious, the sharing tower made for an enjoyable and fun experience.

What would a visit to a steakhouse be without sampling the steak. I ordered the Filet Mignon 12 oz, which was superb and cooked to perfection. While my partner had the Prime Bone-in Ribeye 20 oz steak. A delicious cut and again cooked exactly how we specified. We ordered sides of Truffle-Parsley Mashed Potatoes and Grilled High Country Asparagus. The dishes were delicious, and we were happy to return the plates completely clean.

Fleming's lived up to its reputation. If you're looking for a quality steak and an indulgent choice of wines, this is the place to visit. You're sure to leave very satisfied, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
