Pub in the Park, Bath 2022

Pub in the Park is an annual food and music festival that takes place in various locations throughout the UK, including Bath, Marlow, Brighton and Tunbridge Wells. The event, founded by renowned chef Tom Kerridge, offers a unique and exciting experience for foodies and music lovers. I had the pleasure of attending the Bath edition of Pub in the Park in 2022, and it was an unforgettable three-day experience.

The festival took place in Victoria Park, which provided a stunning backdrop for the event. The organisers set up several different areas throughout the Park, including a food market, chef demonstrations, and live music stages. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with people of all ages enjoying the festivities.

One of the highlights of Pub in the Park was definitely the food. Several vendors offered various cuisines, from gourmet burgers to paella - Demonstrations from Stephan Terry, Simon Rimmer, Atul Kochhar and many more, as expected, the quality of the food, as always, was exceptional, and it was clear that the chefs had put a lot of effort into their dishes and had a real talent for creating mouthfuls of happiness. An added bonus is that the organisers ensured that vegetarian, gluten free and vegan food options were available throughout the three-day experience, which was great! They even offered cocktail master classes by London Essence, teaching everyone how to create the best summer-inspired spritz (which was great as tickets included 2 refreshing cocktails!)

    "Unforgettable three-day experience."

In addition to the regular tickets, Pub in the Park also offers VIP options. These tickets have various perks, including access to a VIP area with exclusive bars and seating, a complimentary glass of bubbly, and meet-and-greet opportunities with the chefs. While the VIP tickets were a touch more expensive than the regular ones, they added an extra luxury level to the experience. The VIP area is great for relaxing and enjoying the festival in a more exclusive setting.

The music at Pub in the Park was also top-notch. There were several live acts throughout the day, ranging from local talent to well-known artists such as Soul II Soul, Natalie Imbruglia, Super Grass, Melanie C and Toploader. The sound quality was excellent, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the selection of the performers. The festival's lineup offers something for everyone, and it's worth checking out the schedule beforehand to plan your day.

Overall, Pub in the Park is an excellent festival providing a unique and exciting experience for foodies and music lovers. The Bath edition of the festival is particularly impressive, with the stunning Victoria Park setting providing the perfect backdrop for the festivities. The food is exceptional, the music is fantastic, and the atmosphere is truly electric. If you want to spend a little more, I highly recommend the VIP tickets for the added luxury for the family experience.

All in all, a great experience that I will be attending again in the future. So, a massive thank you to the event organisers - from the chefs, the artists and everyone in between.
